LONG BEACH DMV PROCESS

The Ten Day Requirement following an arrest for a Long Beach DUI

When you are arrested for a Long Beach DUI, you will receive a temporary license (DS 367) that replaces your real one. You will only be able to drive for thirty days. You must submit a request to get your license back within ten days and request help from us. After thirty days, without a request, you will begin four months of license suspension. No driving is allowed in during this time. Supposing you make a request, you will receive a new temporary license. Our Long Beach DUI Attorneys help you with this. We can sometimes secure your right to drive for a much longer time than if you don’t file a report. Sometimes those who do not file lose even more time before they get their licenses back, so please contact our Long Beach DUI Defense Lawyers today.

Your Long Beach DMV Hearing

Your DMV hearing requires you to call the DMV to schedule a hearing date and time. Our Long Beach DUI Defense Attorneys will represent you at this hearing, should you contact us. The person representing the DMV performs two functions: prosecutor and judge. The DMV representative can determine the length of your suspension and treatment program by themselves. Because the DMV rep has both of these powers, it is hard to get good representation. Our Long Beach DUI Defense Lawyers can help you get what you need out of this hearing. We’d aim to have the charges dismissed and we will use the full extent of the law on behalf of your interests.

As in criminal court, evidence will be given to defend your rights. Your Long Beach DUI attorney will find DMV discovery documents and can force the police officer who arrested you to appear in court. The process is complex; a Long Beach DUI lawyer can make it easier on you.
